FOOD AND BEVERAGE FILLING

LIQUIDPAC is a filling system analogous to SYFPAC^®, but designed for the packaging of liquids that do not necessarily need to be filled aseptically. It particularly addresses the food & beverage industry: most useful application is for bottling milk or juices, as it allows special bottle designs for creative and ergonomic applications.

THE MACHINE

VOLUMES AND MOULDS

Just like any SYFPAC^® machine, standard range of volumes goes from 0.5ml to 20ml when small volume is needed, or from 50ml to 1000ml for large volume containers. Bottle design can be particularly creative: in fact, Brevetti Angela has patented some special packaging projects, such as a strap-off-seal milk bottle with reclosable cap, or a fruit juice bottle with inbuilt straw.

PRODUCTION ROOM

The compact size of the machine allows for reduced production room dimensions of only 36 sqm. Since the Blow Fill Seal process eliminates the need for storage, processing and sterilizing of pre-formed bottles, the production area to consider when designing the plant allows for a considerable saving in space and costs.

PRODUCTION RATE

For small volumes, LIQUIDPAC machine can reach up to 16.000 units per hour and can be later upgraded to produce up to 25.000 uph in the same machine, with no increase on clean room requirements. For large volumes, production can reach 2.500 bottles per hour. Suitable for mass production, the machine can work 24/7. Its robust construction, together with its smart preventive maintenance program, prevents failures and unexpected expensive maintenance.

HIGH FLEXIBILITY

The moulds can work with either PP, PE or HDPE, with no change of parts. This wide choice of materials, available worldwide, enables to pack a wide range of liquids in containers that can be either rigid or lightweight, transparent or opaque depending on the product requirements. Bottles or ampoules can have a special design based on their final application: some examples are twist-off closures for easy opening, ergonomic shapes, reclosable caps or fancy bottle forms.

SOLUTION PROPERTIES

LIQUIDPAC is suitable for filling solutions from 4°C to 30°C and it can be specially designed for heat-sensitive products. It can also adapt to fill solutions with higher viscosities and possible foaming: milk, fruit juice, non-aerated drinks can all be packaged with the highest protection against contamination at the lowest cost.

SINGLE PROCESS

Packaging of soft drinks is usually done in containers which require several production steps. With BFS technology, the primary packaging process comprises one single continuous operation and takes place inside one machine only.

CREATIVE DESIGN

Bottle design can be particularly creative, at the same time keeping an optimal output and the lowest cost per unit.

CIP & SIP

Cleaning In Place, Sterilization In Place, drying, and integrity test are performed automatically.

FOOD & BEVERAGE FILLING

Although BFS technology is commonly associated to pharmaceutical packaging, it is also the perfect technology for packaging of drinks, milk, juices as well.

USER FRIENDLY HMI

The machine HMI is designed to be user friendly and intuitive, while also following the requirements of CFR 21 for data integrity. The machine automatically keeps track of the necessary maintenance based on work hours and cycles. The operator is then notified via the HMI.
